Hi clever people
I am seeking advice.
My Husbands Great Grandfather was a Mason/Builder and we know he built a small row of houses in Charlton cum Newbottle. We have a rough idea what ones they are but would like to prove it and also find out whether he owned them or whether he was comissioned to build them.
I have written to the Newbottle and Charlton History society - the lady was very nice and gave us an idea of the houses but how do we go about proving all this are there records anywhere of who built these houses.
I haven't a clue where to start so advice would be gratefully recieved
