HMS Southampton WW2
« on: Friday 20 January 06 18:48 GMT (UK) »
Hi Guys

Is there anywhere you can get a ports visited list for HMS Southampton during WW2?

The reason I ask is I'm trying to trace some South African ancestors and I know my Grandfather was on the Southampton during the war but he cannot remember whereabouts he visited in South Africa.  He met his Uncles children over there.

I would like to know, just to give me a location.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Guys

Please ignore, my Grandad has remembered that it was after the Southamton sunk on 11 Jan 1941 and he was coming home on another ship when its propeller broke so they stopped in Capetown.

Cheers

Paul
