I think William Joyce was Lord "Haw-Haw" executed in 1946??

I vaguely think James Joyce might be buried abroad somewhere??

As was customary for executed criminals, Joyce's remains were buried in an unmarked grave within the walls of HMP Wandsworth. In 1976 they were exhumed and reinterred at the New Cemetery in Bohermore in County Galway, Ireland.

Hi eadaoin,

yes, "abroad somewhere" is right :)

James Joyce

Hello,

This is a brilliant site for the Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris, where the likes of Oscar Wilde, Chopin, Jim Morrison (of the Doors) are buried.  I've been there, but this site is amazing as you can look at each gravestone and it's got a good index.  http://www.pere-lachaise.com/

Not forgetting Edith Piaf!  :o

Not famous, but certainly unique! Seen in Boxhill, Surrey.
