Martyn George Edwards
« on: Sunday 29 January 06 12:51 GMT (UK) »
My grandfather Martyn George Edwards was born in Wales in 1898, as 21 on his marriage certificate in Ebbw Vale in 1919, his profession was Locomotive Engine Stoker. He was 43 on his death cert in 1941.  He died in WW2.  Family belief is that his parents came from Cardiff area?

I am unable to find him on the 1901 census and unable to trace a birth registration.  I have searched from 1897 to 1899 on 1831 and GRO office have also confirmed, no trace.  On his marriage cert in 1919 his father William Edwards, was was deceased  and a Printing Compositor.  I am trying to find his mother's name and if he had brothers or sisters.

I would be so grateful if you could offer any help.  His war records do not help with this.
