Towle family.......Stapleford

I am researching the family of Mary Ann Towle, born c1857, she married William Dumelow of Sandiacre in1878

Mary  Ann's father was Bartholomew Towle a lace maker from Stapleford, his parents were Thomas and Frances Towle, their children were born in Nottingham

Addresses that I have for the families .......Gallows Hill Stapleford and in 1881 Mary Ann Towle's mother a widow was living at High St Long Eaton

Children from the family include..Andrew c1859, Fanny c1854, Bartholomew Jnr c1852, Henry c1850, Amy c1847, Charles c1845, Frederick c1844, all from Stapleford

I would love to find someone else searching this family's roots

Hi Gilld,

I just stumbled across this board today.  I'm also researching the Towle name in Nottingham.  Haven't been researching for long (and don't get a great deal of time).  I'm back to my ggGrandfather Joseph William Towle (born 1860's) who married Eliza Rigley in Sep Quarter 1883.   May need to order some certs to get much further.

My work has to be done on my Pc due to husbands poor health, so will have some searching to do.

Found the marriage of Thomas and Frances Bull and the fact that she was 'under age', fathers permission given and her place of residence was Risley  Derbys, she returned to Huntingdon to marry.

I am way back into the c 18 with my Cocks family.
I am trying to track down what happened to  William Clifford and Harriet Ellen Cocks' children in c20, there were at least 13 of them and possibly another 2.
I remember meeting some of them as a child.
William and Harriet lived in Manchester in the latter part of c19.
