Thomas Rigby -yes another!COMPLETED
« on: Tuesday 31 January 06 14:43 GMT (UK) »
Hello all.
Thomas Rigby married Jane Cherry 2 April 1799 at St Nicholas Church Liverpool anyone know if they had any children and their ages, I suspect they had a Thomas who married Charlotte Daniels 1 August 1825 at Farnworth Chapel Nr Prescot (I obtained a copy of the marriage from the register held at Huyton Library but no ages or parent signatures also the witnesses not known). unfortunately they do not have  info going back to young thomas's birth.
Algy.
COMPLETED - Many thanks to Sheila.

These look like yours too.  All have same parents Thomas Rigby/Jane.

Thomas Rigby born 19 March 1800, christened 13 April 1800
Jane Rigby christened 20 May 1801
John Rigby b 20 December 1804, christened 10 January 1805

All at English Presbyterian Church, Toxteth Park.

Hope this helps a little.

Sheila, that looks good news ,though Thomas junior is not mentioned but if madeline Simpson is not of his direct line then she would not be interested in Thomas, am I thinking along the right lines or is it wishful thinking on my part?. incidentally how do I get onto the site you obtained the info from. Just received your second post and that confirms it for me!.
Thanks, Algy.

Hi Algy

This is the site:

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/default.asp

The lady has submitted the information and given her address so I would imagine she would be hoping anyone with a connection will get in touch.  It's worth a try.

If you need any help using the site PM me.

Good luck

Sheila

Hello algy,

If you find Thomas's other offspring and there is a William included I should be happy to hear about it. I have William, married 1829 in Warrington to Ellen Wright. They named their oldest son Thomas, who also begat a Thomas.

William came to a sticky end of some sort but I have not yet discovered what it was.

Thank you.

Beth

Beth,I am sorry we do'nt have a William in our tree so far (up to 1800) I  have left Warrington and now have the Rigby family in Toxteth Liverpool, however there is still some research needed at Warringtons family archives so I will keep an eye open for him.Sufggest you also post a request the Forum members have been very helpful to my quest.
Good luck.
Algy.
