Griffiths Valuation Year
« on: Tuesday 31 January 06 20:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi, if anyone can tell me what year, or years, the Valuation was done in Offaly (Kings Co) I'd be very grateful.  I won't give you the long, convoluted story why this will help me but I need an exact year, if possible.  If it helps, we are talking about the area around Rhode parish.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Lesley:

I believe Offaly was done in 1854. Check this out: http://www.failteromhat.com/offaly.htm

Good luck,

Hi Pat, thanks so much.  That answers my question as I was trying to figure out if the William mentioned was my 2 x or 3 x great grandfather.  Another theory bites the dust....

Happy hunting
