Hi Warlock,

As someone who is researching on this thread, I too have not come across a David Beddow.

But I have found him as a separate exercise in the 1871 Census.

As I don't want to confuse this thread (I think Angie will agree that it has come close to confusion at times!), I'm going to send you a personal message with the full census details.

Regards,

Richard
Fox (Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Yorkshire); Stockton (Shropshire, Yorkshire); Moody (Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Yorkshire); Kershaw (Yorkshire); Martyn (Cornwall); Barnacle (Warwickshire, Leicestershire), Cox (Staffordshire); Dunn (Staffordshire); Mitchell (Yorkshire); Evers (Yorkshire)

Hi Angie,

I'm not sure whether anyone else has supplied you with the Beddow entry for the 1841 Census for John (born 1820 and who later became a 'higler' if you recall), but, in case they haven't, here it is:-

1841 Census

Kinnerley Township, Shropshire

Thomas Beddow - 45 - Groom - y. (born in county)

Elizabeth Beddow - 35 - y.

John Beddow - 20 - Groom - y.

William Beddow - 10 - y.

Joseph Beddow - 5 - y.

George Beddow - 2 - y.

Samuel Beddow - 1 - y.

Ref:  HO107 / 914-3 / ED2A / f.22 / p.8

..........................and next door, the paternal grandparents?

1841 Census

Kinnerley Townshilp, Shropshire

Richard Beddow - 80 - Agricultural Labourer - y.

Elizabeth Beddow - 75 - y.

Ref: same as above.

Hope this yake you a little further back.

Best wishes,

Richard
