Lookup Offer: Transcript of 1802 Census in Hinxton
« on: Friday 03 February 06 23:05 GMT (UK) »
Hi, Everyone,
When I was up the CCRO today I came across a transcript of a personal Census for 1802 in Hinxton, nearby Ickleton.  The vicar there, the Rev. James Plumptre has written a quite remarkable account of everyone in this tiny village - not quite as famous as the one done by the Rev Francis Fulford in Croydon, Cambs in 1843 ("Speculum Gregis"), but still an extraordinary early Census, nonetheless.
If anyone thinks they might have ancestors living in Hinxton at this time, I've photocopied the whole document, and could look them up...

If you would like a lookup, please post a new topic on the Cambs LOOKUP REQUESTS board.
