A little tip for you.

If you have written a big old post that would be gutting to lose then select all the text before you post and right click and choose "copy".

That way if you lose the post you still hav eth etext copied to the clipboard.  I've lost posts and nearly cried.  It happens when the site is busy sometimes as well as when posts are moved (which is actually quite rare).

All the best,
Pam

Thanks Pam...
Good idea...and if I can remember to save my giant work files just before they crash, too!  ::)   You are right, I think that it is when the site is busy and one has also taken too long in writing... Say back and forth with information or urls to paste.  At least now I know they haven't already sent, so I always go back and copy & refresh. Before, I thought I was going nuts because I thought that I had already posted a reply on that topic :P

Any really important stuff I get ready in word, so as long as I save there before I copy I should be o.k....Am getting a lot of STUFF in my rootschat folder!!!!
Thanks for all the replies, everyone....!  J.J.

Just another bit of advice when typing very long posts - type your long reply first in an editing programme ie. Word, Notepad etc then you can just copy it all and paste it into the reply on Rootschat. At least that way you won't lose everything if you get timed out ;)

I have also discovered since that my mouse has some problems...and so has been replaced...Likely the culprit!  ( Yeah, 'cause it can't POSSIBLY be the USER, right?)  Well..time will tell!
