where abouts is glinton/glenton

hello on the 1851 census one of my ancesters was said to come from glinton or glenton  in nottinghamshire does anybody know where this place is thankyou :)

The nearest sounding place I can think of is Lenton not far from Nottingham city centre.

Another thought is who is your relative so that I can look on the 1851 and also check the 1841 for you.

thankyou for your imformation the name is unfortunatley a very common one its william robinson born 1818 ,i know he married in grantham in september 1841 and was a joiner by trade.

Looking at the old maps there was a Glinton in Northamptonshire in 1890, none in Notts
