Wight of Hareby
« on: Saturday 11 February 06 12:56 GMT (UK) »
Anyone have any connection there? I have a John Wight from 16th century, married Anna Bray. Their son Robert married Elizabeth Fulshaw. Their son Thomas apparently went to Isle of Wight and married an Alice Roundy or Pepper. They in turn emigrated to the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
I HAVE seen the name spelled Wright or White, but that is the exception rather than the rule.
