BANKINS/WHEIR
« on: Sunday 12 February 06 10:53 GMT (UK) »
Looking for information on this family. Thomas James & Ada Amelia Bankins.

Ada died in 1939 in Hendon. They had 2 children, Ada Emily born September 1901 who never married and died in approx. 1984 and a son Thomas Ernest or Ernest Thomas Bankins, born in 1908. Have found details of a marriage to Enid Wheir but nothing more.

Thanks Emma

Ada Amelia Bankins (McKimmie) was my grandmother's older sister.

I have recently found a wedding announcement for either Ada's son or grandson - Thomas Ernest/Ernest Thomas - article called him both! to an Enid Wheir but there's no date and I can't find any info anywhere.

Thanks again

Thanks Carol

yes I did have these dates. Its her brother I'm interested in as I have a wedding notice but the name is the wrong way around - Ernest Thomas instead of Thomas Ernest. I have his birthdate and photos of the whole family but can't date the wedding.

If there are any descendents, we are the only ones from this branch of the family.

Thanks again

Hello Rita

The GRO birth index has him as Thomas Ernest.

Thomas Ernest Bankins born in  Stepney in Jun 1/4 of 1908 ref 1c 362

Did you say you found the marriage to Enid? When was that? Have you found if they had any children yet?

As you know I have PM'd you about her recent death.

Regards

Carol
