Hildreth is an unusual name - did a look-up on the 1871 census and found him in Liverpool with his wife Sarah and children William, Sarah, Elizabeth and Ann.  I could send you the image offline if you would like

Thanks so much for the look ups, I'm actually looking for Joseph Furmidge who died at 9 Sumner Street on the 27 July 1891. I was hoping he was there when the census was taken, but it seems not.
