I'm looking for information re Ellen Sarah Kent and her father Richard. Ellen married Thomas Maynard at the Register Office Hanover Sq., Middlesex, 5 Nov 1870, whilst she was living at Aylesbury House, Clarence Place, Southsea, her age stated as 25 (dob c. 1845). Her father named as Richard Kent, a Carpenter. On the 1871 Census Thomas and Ellen were living at 6 Bessborough Mews, Westminstser, her place of birth named as Stanmore, Hants, but I can't find her birth certificate.
They had children Thomas 1871, Alice 1876, Ella 1878. Ellen was widowed before 1881.

Hi Roy,

Ellen Sarah Kent, baptised 10 Nov 1844 Bishops Waltham, parents Richard and Charlotte Kent.  Six other children before her, from 1831 onwards.  Birth place was probably Swanmore which became a separate parish formed from Droxford and Bishops waltham in 1846.

A Richard Kent married Charlotte Horner in Portsea 12 August 1831.
