Having another go at my POWELL brick wall.
Parents were William POWELL (Sr) and Elizabeth UNKNOWN. Probably married about 1798 or a bit earlier (?in Berkeley area). Trying to trace Elizabeth's surname and confirm date/place of marriage.[/color]
Children (all born Berkeley):
1799 William - died 3 days old
1801 William (Jr) - died age 6 yrs
1804 Caroline - m George BIRT, glover, Chipping Sodbury
1808 Thomas - became a plumber in Chipping Sodbury
1812 Elizabeth - died aged 6 yrs
1815 Ann - no information on her
1822 Elizabeth - unmarried - died at Caroline's in Ch Sod in 1873
1822 Emily - d aged 10 (assume she and Elizabeth were twins?)
William (Sr) and his wife were definitely living in Berkeley in 1823 as they are mentioned in Elizabeth's uncle's will (Thomas PINNELL, land surveyor of Gloucester City) in which Thomas PINNELL left her 200 GBP. William (Sr) was a tailor and may have had a business in Gloucester.
