Anne Thornton married in Nottingam, St Peters
« on: Wednesday 22 February 06 07:14 GMT (UK) »
There was an Anne Thornton married Stephen Pickard at St Peters, Nottingham on 8 March 1669. There was also an Anne Thornton married Joseph Morewood at St Peters, Nottingham on 17 February 1680.

I'm trying to trace a possible son of Joseph Morewood's called William who was supposedly born about 1680. If Anne and Stephen had a son William, then Stephen died, then Anne married Joseph and Joseph took on her son as his own - then I have an answer. But I'm just supposing and can't find any evidence. Does anyone know if there's any truth in this?

I doubt it, though not wishing to be negative :)

If Stephen Pickard died and Anne re-married, then she would have married as Anne Pickard surely?
