Hi,

Thanks to another RootsChatter I've found my direct ancestor Jane COCKIN on the 1851 census living in Garthorpe, a widow aged 52, farmer of 30 acres.  She was born c.1799 in Fockerby.

From freebmd I believe she died in 1872 so she is hopefully on the 1861 and 1871 census, probably still in Garthorpe or just over the county border in Fockerby.

I'd be grateful for a look up on the 1861 and 1871 census for her.

You might be interested to know that an Elizabeth Cockin of Garthorpe married at St Marys Church Sculcoates on 26th July 1841, by Licence.
