Drumcondra, Ardee

     It IS often confused, even by registrars...especially if they don't, or didn't, live in this county.  It even appears on some maps as Drumcondra......but then, again, they're not compiled by locals either;  and anyone who's not familiar or is just plain sloppy, will stick down the more well-known placename from Dublin.     Whichever you prefer,  it's the same place, and  the nearest "big" town is Ardee, which is actually across the county border, in Louth.
