1851/61 census request-Jennet Salathiel (or Terry)

Hi all-it's me and my Salathiels again I'm afraid

I am now looking for Jennet Salathiel, the widow of John Salathiel who died in 1846. 

In 1841 there were children Thomas, my GG Grandfather, b1831, Jane b1835 and John b1838.

Jennet was remarried at some point to David Terry and I am trying to find out whether Thomas had any more siblings or half-siblings and where Jennet moved to or whether she stayed in the parish of Llantrissant.

Hi Laurina,

You were right-1851/61 would definitely be more appropriate!!!!

The Thomas you found is the same one and I have managed to get lots of info on him through another post.

I am just trying to sort out what happened to his mother and siblings in these years.

I haven't managed to find Jennet's marriage but I have got an original document, dated 1882, that mentions "Jennet Terry (wife of David Terry, formerly Salathiel, widow) the lawful relict of the said intestate" and it relates to the estate of John Salathiel who died in May 1846 intestate. Thomas "one of the natural and lawful children and one of the next of kin " appears to have been the recipient of  £150.

Had a good look around but I can't seem to find her, Jannet with either surname.  There is a John Salathiel b.1834 Llantrisaint, Glamorgan ~ not the right age. He has a wife and son.

Could not locate Jennet or marriage in 1851/61 poss mistranscribed.  This answers the question of where she stayed.

Goodness knows where Jennet was hiding in 1861 then.
