Hi,

In the 1841 HO 107 / 615 / 30

ED 5 page 11 Castle Bytham

William Burchnall 60 Blacksmith born in county
Elizabeth 60 born in county

page 12 (several families on)

Thomas Burchnall 35 shoe m born in county
Susan Burchnall 36 born in county
William 9 born in county
Joseph 7 born in county
Elizabeth 5 born in county

I'm not sure if this is your family as the Joseph is older than you expected, however, you may find they fit in somewhere along the line.

Hi Sue,
Many thanks for your help - not sure if they are my family, but as you say they may fit in somewhere!   I'm taking Josephs age from the 1881 Census when it was given as 42.

Wow Tara you've been busy - thank you very much.  The Burchnall family are definitely mine.  The Cox ones not so sure, I know from the 1881 census that Thomas was married to a Rebecca and that as well as Annie they had a son Thomas Perkins Cox - however I shall keep hold of the list - they may be some connection.  Once again many thanks for your help.
