1841/51 Lookup Please - Cpt John Say SPARKES b. 1800 Suffolk

He was the last of nine children born of Thomas Sparkes and Mary Crabbe [b.1756 d.1827] m.1786.
Left £400 by Francis Edward Say in 1846.
Is he in the 1841 1851 census?
What was he captain of ?
Any information appreciated

sorry i cant find him in the 1851 census.Could this possibly be him in the 1861 census

John Say Sparkes Lodger widr 60 Off. E.I.C Mast.serv. 7/4 (Pensr.) Suffolk Aldboro.

IT is hard to understand what  the occupation is and i might have transcribed it wrong.The 7/4 is written as a fraction.
It could mean officer in the East India Company  ? pensioner.Ive come across the initials before but the I could possibly be another letter.
