Duggans from Cork
« on: Friday 01 October 04 15:09 BST (UK) »
Looking for members of the Duggan family. My grandmother was Hannah Duggan, who married Stephen Mitchell in St Patrick's in 1910. From her marriage certificate I find her father was called John and he was deceased at the time of her marriage. I'm led to believe he drowned in Cork Harbour. Hannah's siblings were Margaret who stayed in Ireland and married a Cronin; Christina, who married a Buckley and moved to Brighton, where they were living during WW2; Mary, who also came to England, area unknown: Jack served in WW1 and then  emigrated to Halifax, Nova Scotia and Daniel Duggan.  Hannah left Cork with her three daughters after WW! and after a brief spell went with her family to India until 1928. I hope someone can help to trace Hannah's parentage from Cork. Thanks,in anticipation..Ron H.
