completed thanks to help received
« on: Monday 06 March 06 15:31 GMT (UK) »
I have previously been searching for the surname of Bisanay/Bisaney who emigrated to Canada post 1908,  I had fantastic help from various rootschatters, it now appears they may have arrived with a family by the name of
EDERMANIGER, wife Caroline nee Coveney plus children.
I am hoping someone might be able to find the Edermanigers residing in Toronto as at 1911.

Thank you in anticipation

Hi Karen, nice to hear from you.
Henry Thomas Edermaniger and his wife was Caroline Elizabeth, they had one child as far as I can find out at the moment named Elizabeth Caroline.
I am going to PM you later to tell you what I have found out.

Hi LM,

I think I finally found Caroline under Maniger she is living at 195 Morley Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.  I think baby Retta was living on Morley?

Caroline Maniger b 1880 England
Elizabeth b 1899
Elinor b 1901
Caroline b 1903
Edith b 1905
Winnifred b 1907

Everyone was born in England except Winnifred who was born in Ontario.  Carline is also a widow in 1911.  Immigration year is listed as 1907.

Karen, you are an angel, can you hear my screams of delight?.

This is them but they were originally under the surname of Edermaniger, oh dear Caroline a widow, wonder what happened to him,  on the 1901 her husband  was in the Queen Victoria hospital in Southampton, build by her Majesty for the soldiers I was told,   he must have died between conception  and 1911 I presume.

I feel quite the detective now, story was that someone followed a sister to Canada, having found an Edith with another surname of Adelaide I put 2 and 2 together, you added the rest and come up with this family, persistence pays off doesn't it? I feel Edith married Elroy Taylor and she was my father in laws cousin he said

Immigration date 1907, I suspect they sailed as a family and Adelaide followed, she married in 1907 and Retta Violet was born in England 1908, still awaiting her birth cert.
I am overwhelmed with the info you have helped me with.

A huge thank you Karen, I am thrilled to bits with this information

Best regards

Louisa Maud

Hi LM,

Here is Henry Thomas's death information:

Date of Death:  Sept 12, 1910
Date of Birth:  October 3, 1874
Father:  John Maniger, England
Mother:  Elizabeth Burford, England
Address:  195 Morley Drive, Toronto
Occupation:  Electrician

Maybe, if we can figure out where Henry is buried, perhaps baby Retta is in the same place?
