OK, I'm guessing this is the family you're seeking info about..

Taken from http://www.theweald.org/N10d.asp?NId=5792571

Philadelphia bc1811 Fletching married John Wood bc1774 Fletching -

children - Layton bc1832 Maresfield
            Sarah bc1833 SSX
        Martha bc1834 SSX
        Thomas bc1837 Maresfield
            Elizabeth bc1839 Maresfield
        Robert bc1842 Maresfield
        James bc1844 Maresfield

On the IGI there is a submitted record from an LDS member (this is NOT taken from a verifiable source) that gives the following detail..

John WOOD married Philadelphia TESTER on 18 Feb 1832 at Maresfield

There is also an extracted record (i.e from parish register or similar) for that lady..
Philadelphia TESTER bapt 11 April 1813 at Fletching
Parents - Richard TESTER and Elizabeth

A look-up from the Sussex Marriage Index for John and Philadelphia may prove this one way or another

Hi Nadine,

I have looked up Philadelphia Tester's and John Wood's marriage in the Sussex Marriage Index, and you may be interested to find that he had married before:

Place:  Maresfield, East Sussex
Date:  18th February 1832
Groom:  John Wood, Widower of this parish
Bride:  Philadelphia Tester, of this parish

The only way to be absolutely sure about these things is to look at the parish records.   Most have been filmed and you can search them at your nearest LDS centre.  They are worldwide and listed on www.familysearch.org
An earlier post does give parents for Philadelphia and it is from an extracted record on the IGI (ie from the baptism register) so it is likely to be correct.    Member submitted entries should always be checked on the original.
