Looking for Isabella (*), who had a son called James (*) or any of his descendents.  Also living relatives of Ian, Keith, son of Alec and Jean(I think)

A approximate date and place would make it much easier to give a sensible reply to your query.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

John and Isabella were living in Keith in the 1950's.  James (*) was Isabella's son to a previous marriage and he was born in 1899.  Ian (*) is probably in his seventies now and is the grandson of John.

Well, for John and Isabella, have a look in http://libindx.moray.gov.uk/mainmenu.asp

I am unwilling to post anything about possibly living people here, but there are various sources.

You could try the register of electors at www.192.com (it's a pay site but they allow you 10 free searches before making you pay).

Also online directory enquiries at http://www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/find/residential/residential_numbers.publisha?namespace=coexistence

Anne, we are 3rd cousins, once removed - my great x 2 grandfather, John Mackay/Mackie is your great x 3 grandfather.

I have many branches of the Mackay family tree to share if you are interested.

Hi moonbiarab :)

As you can see I've just modified the initial posts to remove names of living people, but that shouldn't affect your ability to contact Anne.    Unfortunately, though, she has not logged on to Rootschat since October 2009, so may no longer be accessing her messages here  :-\  If she has email notifications turned on for this thread, she may see your message, so I will keep my fingers crossed  ;)

Do you have any connection to my own McKays, by any chance?  You can view my tree here - starting at my earliest McKay:

Cheers
Prue

Hello Moonbiarab
I can't believe I haven't been here for so long!!!!!!!  Uncross you fingers Prue - all is well!  I would certainly be interested in John Mackie's line if it is the same one who was married to Jane Morrison!
