Hello Alison, and welcome to Rootschat!

The people here are very friendly and always happy to help a newcomer.

The first place you will want to check is the Victorian govt. Births, Deaths and Marriages indexes.  They are available online at: http://online.justice.vic.gov.au/servlet/bdm_home
I'm not sure how recently you can search (i.e. up to what date) but I know it is pay-per-search.  The best bit is that for historical records, once you find the index reference you are able to download the actual image of the record (for another fee).  The prices are not exorbitant, compared to NSW anyway!

Any more questions, just ask.
 :)
Cheers
Prue

Hi Alison,
As Prue says,  you will probably find your grandfather's birth and marriage to Phyllis on the site she has suggested.
However his death may be too recent to be listed there, but I think he is at Springvale cemetery which you probably know already.

http://www.ozgenonline.com/aust_cemeteries/vic/index.htm

Explore this spot for a ww2 service.  You can order a full service record and it will tell you some family details if you have no success getting them in other ways.

http://www.ww2roll.gov.au/

On the one below you might find a copy of the same or additional info. of family.
Keep us posted!!

Hi Alison,
just that I saw a Charles Boxall interrred at Springvale 5/2/1932. Could he possibly be Phyllis Eunice's father? Only a Death Certifcate could confirm that if such a registration could be found.
