Albion Street. Everton 1891
« on: Tuesday 05 October 04 20:16 BST (UK) »
Can any one tell me, if Albion Street, Everton, was very far from Wavertree Road?

I have a family living there (Albion Street) who I think are mine,
But my grandmother isn't with them. I have however found somebody of the right age, working as a general domestic, at
111 Wavertree Road, for a Mr Horace Sandy's.

If it is a fair distance, I can probably assume that she was a live in servant....and she was fibbing about her age.

I have been searching for a Sarah  Hughes, born 1878/79 for
ages, but this one gives her age as 14, so I  make her year of
birth 1877. I must admit, I get a bit confused with how the
census worked out ages.

Many thanks
JeannieR

Kind regards

Hi,

Albion Street is near Everton
Wavertree Road is near Edge Hill

www.mapquest.co.uk will provide maps based on street names.

Everton and Edge Hill are not (by any stretch of the imagination) within walking distance!

Thank you Sue.

Edge hill is certainly important in my family, my mother was
baptised at St Catherines, Edge Hill.

This could be another piece in my jigsaw!!!

Than you once again.

I really think, when, not if, I find my family, it will have to be champagne alround to those who have helped me through Rootschat

Kind Regards
