Thanks for page link. it wasn't any god for me as my Williams came from North Wales..Flintshire area as far as I know..I don't suppose there is anything like this for there is there?

Hi Tassie,

My Williams is from Wollaston near Tidenham in Monmouthshire.  He is Morris Williams,  born ca1818 married Emma.  Apart from his children that is all I know about him,  that and he is my GGG-Grandfather.  At the moment I have not tried very hard to find him as I have been busy with other lines.

I tried your link but the marriages only start from 1837. I need dates before 1800 for births or marriages c1807.

If you have any relies in Oz I can check some sites out if you wish.

I can't find anything free on the web for you on parish registers,  but on the Clwyd (this includes Flintshire) Family history Society pages,  they have all parish records for sale in booklet form.  They are reasonably priced,   if you know which parish you need to look in.!!  They also have a list service,  you may be able to ask them a question or two,  Link Below:

As for my Oz rellies,  I have a Robert John Hobson born ca.1845 in Australia,  m1871 Bristol,  he has no birth record that I can find in NSW,  but that is as far as I have got with him.  He's my GG-Grandfather and I would love to know more about him,  but have nothing to go on apart from an approx. year of birth in Australia.

I will let you know if I turn up anything in Flintshire for you,

Hi again Kazza,,just a query were either of your Robert Hobsons parents convicts?
Could he have been born in another state other than NSW?
I assume by his marriage in Bristol that he retuned to England to marry?

Hi Tassie,

I know nothing of his parents,  they may have been convicts.  I do not know where  Robert was born,  it is just that NSW has records online so I searched and could'nt find him,  I assumed this meant he was born in another state,  but he does list his birth as being in Australia when he appears in the 1881 census in Britain.  

As far as I know he lived the remainder of his life in Britain,  so he should have a birth record and no others in Oz.  He settled in Gloucester and had children there,  where his wife was born.
