Spanish rellie but where from and when

As i am still fairly new to this site i'm not quite sure where to go with this.The information i have is very basic but,would appreciate any help in any form whatsoever.
I'm looking for a Charles Alfred(Alfredo) Edward(Edwardo) Foster who came from Spain according to my mother(his daughter)date not known although he must have been here pre 1934(my mother's birth year),he worked for Pickfords as a porter in Portsmouth and he married a Rose Martha Clutterbuck again date not known,like i said the info is very limited but would appreiate any help.

I can see Rose Martha Clutterbuck b. Mar 1909 quarter in Portsmouth, but I'm having trouble finding the marriage, having gone back from 1935 to 1929.  Were there any other children born to this couple?

That's her born 2/2/09,i think there was a Gerry and maybe  a Duggie as well..cheers

Duggie was a step brother but other children from the marriage were Pauline,Joyce,Kenny and Gerry.

As Charles Alfred Edward Foster was,so i've been told,from Spain,could anyone tell me if there is a spanish form of the surname Foster.

I can't help with any Spanish equivalent of Foster, but I found an interesting coincidence (?) on the 1901 census: a Charles Foster born c1875 in Gibraltar living in Portsmouth with his wife Emma and 2 young daughters. 

If/when funds will run to it, it would be a good idea to get Charles and Rose's marriage cert, as that will show their ages and fathers' names, which will help in tracking down Charles' birth.

Hi Rambler,many thanks for your reply,although the dates are a bit offputting,meaning he would have been about 53 when he married my nan and 59 when they had my mum,although not unheard of i suppose also i know he died about 48 years ago,age not known.Will check again with my mum.
