Marriage lookup for Walmsley in Blackburn

Hi there: Could anyone please possibly look up a marriage betwen Houghton Walmsley and Selina Pollard.
The only marriage I can find for Houghton is to an Ellen Brindle in 1874 in Blackburn.  Houghton is not a very common name.  On my grandmother's marriage certificate she has Selina listed as her mother yet my  grandmother's middle name is Ellen (Ada Ellen Walmsley born Dec 25, 1878 or 1877).  I am not having much luck finding information on those from the Blackburn area.
Also if someone could find any information on a Thomas Royston married to a Bertha Walmsley Sept 1909 Quarter.  In an old address book of my mother's he was living  at 95 or 195 Leamington Road Blackburn possibly in the 1960's.  He was still alive in 1966 when my aunt went to visit from Winnipeg.  All relatives are now long dead so have not much information to go on.  Thank you , Alva in British Columbia

I'm also tracing the Walmsley name, namely a William Hargreaves Walmsley born JunQ 1862 in Darwen who married Alice Ann Hindle in 1886.   I want to trace his parents and I will have to get his birth certificate to process the  search.

Hi Gerry:  Thanks so much for the info.  I will check it out.  I have even taken to writing to Walmsley's in Blackburn and sending it snail mail but no one responds.  Guess there are either skeletons in the closet or no one is interested in their roots.  Thanks again, Alva
