Four Trees -Our Great Grandmothers

Looking back through the family trees, an important mark is the case concerning our great grandmothers from our four trees

Each of the four had their own journey, and in many cases we were only a small part of their individual history and kegacy.

In memory of my foir great-grandmothers:

Although I do not share the same surname as my
great grandmothers named BAKER, LEWIS, MCGEE and SMITH,
I recognize my small part in the family history of these names.

Looking back it is an interesting journey tracing their parents and sibling through the pages of time. They and their siblings have travelled far and wide From places in Kent, London, Dorset,
Canada, Australia and elsewhere.
Zelley,  Lovell, Godbold, Woods, Phillips, Lewis, Emery,
Magee, Baker, White. Flisher, Kyne, Tilston, Valence/Vallens,
Mabb/Mabbe, Bellamy, Selley, Martha Smith, Arno (of Dartmouth, Devon}.
Dorset, London, Warwick, East Anglia, Kent,  Devon
North Wales          

The ancestors lived here and there, in many scattered
places, with various occupations

Three out of four.... my Father was illegitimate and no way of knowing who his father was so three it will stay  ;)

Re the BEER name in Kent, any connection to one James BEER & Louise ZELLEY.  Louise was from Tiverton, Devon.

Hi Zelley - my Beers are from Whitstable I'm afraid, have not found any from Devon as yet but you never know.... I'll keep you in mind if I find any.

When my grand-daughter was born she had 4 Gt.Grandmas and 1 Gt.Grandpa still alive. Three of the Gt.Grandmas died at 92, 96 and 101 respectively. The other two died in their 80's.
Of course they all came from good British stock !

I have found 3 great grand mothers -  Fairbairn, Evans, and McCallum.

And of course the matching 3 great grandfathers - Thompson, Burrow and Stephens

My mother appears to have been illegitimate and her fathers name is not on her original BC. :(

All but one of my Great Grandparents were born in the 1890s so they haven't been difficult to trace.  It's weird though, when I look at parts of my family tree that my grandad's elder brother could have had a GG Grandmother if she'd lived to 83.

My Great Grandmothers lived to the ripe old ages of 84, 88, 88 and 92
