Four Trees -Our Great Grandmothers

I've just realised I have photographs of all of my Great grandmothers . Never connected it really,  I've always had the photos, but never thought of it that way.

There's a thought. I have photo's of three of my great grandmothers; the fourth never wanted her photo taken, fearful of the technology. Funnily enough, I have a photo of her mother.

I have 2 great grandmothers with the same names.  Elizabeth Walker.  One from my mother's side and one from my father's side.  Both are the same age, and both from Ayrshire.

Sadly I only have photos of 3 of my great grandmothers, and 3 of my great grandfathers. as soon as I can trace a living connection within the missing family, the first thing I will do is ask if they have a photo!  I have a lovely photo frame that will hold all eight, but two spaces with just a name in each one!  Oh well..one day... Sigh!!

My eldest G Grandmother was born in 1832 - 120 years before me! 

I'm curious if any Rootschatters have older g grandmothers?

Mine range from 1851, 1856, 1862, to 1879.
That's 114 years before me.

I have one great grandmother born 121 years before me (My great grandfather -her husband- was born 136 years before me).  The other three were round about 100 years before me. Sadly I have not seen photos of any of them.

Mine range from 1837 to 1877, with two in the the middle at 1867.

3 born in Scotland
1 born in England
2 of the Scottish ones had the same name, Elizabeth Walker! One paternal, one Maternal. Both from Ayshire!  It's the paternal one and her husband that are leaving the space in my Photo Frame of Great Grandparents!  She's the one that was born in 1837, so that's born 108 yrs before me!

I've got two with the same (well almost!) name as well, but that's because they are sisters!   Born in Cork in 1859 and 1861.   I have lovely photos of them.   I have one tiny snapshot of my Northern Irish g granny, who was born in about 1852, but sadly no picture at all of my remaining g granny (also N Irish but emigrated to Glasgow), born 1850.

However, my pride and joy when it comes to photos is one of my great great grandmother from Worcestershire, born 1827.    The pic was taken in 1868 and shows my great grandfather when he was five.
