I lived in Maythorne Mill from 1970 to 1990. At that time it was used by my fathers engineering factory. It was a great place to grow up. We were one of only about four other families at that time - the Barnetts, butlers and the Wares. It is now converted to apartments.

The river and lake at the rear are different to then. And the bridge over the railway line used to go under it!

I can tell you lots if you are interested.

Thanks.

Hi there Barnett1

First of all, welcome to Rotschat

It was nice of you to reply to my posting of some 6 years ago since when I have visited the Mill site several times and even taken out trailor tent and the family there for a weeks holiday.

Its always nice to have background information on where your ancestors lived and even though so much remains above ground, so little is known of life and people there
