Have you got either in 1901 census? That would give an area nearer to marriageable age.

Then the full BMD indexes are currently free on Ancestry - so you can trawl through quarter by quarter and list 'possible' marriages for them.

Only idea is as before - to try and find a marriage or birth of children it is simply a case of looking for them! And it has never been easier than at the moment when the indexes are free to search through on Ancestry!

Watch for missing pages and bad indexing (often you can get the right page by keying in a name near yours in the alphabet). The thing to remember is that it is a simple alphabetical list, so there will be one page to look at for each quarter. Well, sometimes the surname you are lookng at may go across 2 pages, but you know what I mean.

HELLO I have an 1883 birth certificate for Arthur Parkin the address is 1 Percy Villas, Birkbeck Road, Beckenham, Kent.
I notice that your ancestor shares this address can you help. I have looked on Google earth but can only find 1 Birkbeck Road. Searches of census don't list this address. regards

Thank you so much Slimmer for your quick reply. I think your address is probably the one. Maybe just a mix up on the address, because on another birth cert the place of birth is Penge. The dates are 1880s would that be the age of your Percy Villas?
Thanks Davros1
