Hi Sivartd

Many many thanks for the info on the Atherton's very much appreciated.
Looks like that William & Sarah may have died from 1861
and Thomas living in their house.

I found a John on the 1881 census with his wife Sarah,
The John you found now confirms that John in 1881 are the same,  their first child was born Salford

I found a James aged 29 a boilermaker on the 1881 census married to Emma. I will send for their marriage cert.should confirm if mine
Thank you again, you have been a great help. another piece of the jigsaw fits.

Kind regards.  Marj

Hi Marj,

You are welcome,

If James is in the 1881 but not found on the 1871 he may be with his mum and dad but, for some reason, none of them recorded. I have sent you a message, let me know your answer to it.

Bye for now, Doreen
