Can anyone tell me the parents of Rev John Trelawny-Ross D.D. of Ham  Plymouth Died 1935. I believe he had a son Rev. William Edwin Trelawny-Ross died 1962.
ANY extra info on these two people would be much appreciated.

Try searching the BMD Images at ancestry. (free at the moment).

The death indexes will give an age-at-death to aid finding their birth record(s).

Vesta,

West Devon Record Office have a number of papers in their collection.  Search to find out what they have available here:

http://www.a2a.org.

You may be able to order copies or get someone to do some research for you if you are unable to get there yourself.

Thank you v. much for the replies. I am still uncertain of the maiden name of the wife of John T. Trelawny-Ross, she was Mary Frederica Cecilia.Their son was Rev William Edwin Trelawny-Ross again a problem with the wife.
I have these unconnected people at present
John Tre.-Ross
Wilfreda Tre.-Ross--- living 1963
David Tre.-Ross
C.P. Tre.-Ross
Does any of this fit with others research?

Hi

FreeBMD: John Trelawny Ross married Mary Frederica C Digby
Mar qtr, 1894, Newton A. Vol 5b/177

Have you seen them on the censuses yet? In 1891 Rev Trelawny-Ross is writtten down as a widower.
He is born in Ireland (lucky you! :D). Mary Frederica is born in Germany, a British Subject.

Cheers

FreeBMD: John Trelawny Ross married either Emma Mary K Bassett or Agnes Fry
Sep qtr, 1881, Cardiff, Vol 11a/335

That fits, because his 4 children were born in Glamorgan.

Check out the 1881 Census for Wales: RG12/5288/55/25

FreeBMD: Emma Mary K Ross died Mar qtr 1887, Christchurch, Hampshire, aged 28

... and that fits too, because in 1891 Rev John and the children were living in Hampshire
