Does anyone know what this was in Sutton?
« on: Saturday 08 April 06 18:37 BST (UK) »
Hi

In 1866 this place was known as Hill House.

In 1880 it was West Hill House in Ridge Road, Sutton

In 1895 it was West Hill House and down the road from Sutton Common Dairy Farm.

By 1913 it was known as Burleigh House.

Does anyone know what type of House this was please?
ie  Was it a family house, a hospital or a Home of some sort?

Many thanks

Start by looking at census. presumably these adddresses have come from BMD certificates, so refer to someone or another?
