1841 Lookup please for Catshill/Bromsgrove COMPLETED WITH THANKS
« on: Wednesday 12 April 06 06:42 BST (UK) »
Can anyone please help me with an 1841 lookup?

I am trying to find the following family by the name of WILKES.  In 1851 the family at Catshill consists of:

John - head - abt 1813 - a Nailer (just like everyone else in Catshill it seems!)
P[hoebe?] - wife - abt 1818
Fanny - daur - abt 1839
M[ary?] - daur - abt 1840
Patience NORBURY - daur-in-law - abt 1835

All born Bromsgrove

It is really Patience and her mother that I am after.  I just received Patience's marriage cert from 1855, to Thomas GOODE.  Her father is given as John WILKES, a Blacksmith.  I then found the above 1851 entry, and subsequently a marriage on the IGI between a John WILKES and Phoebe NORBURY in 1838 at Halesowen, Worcs.  I am going with the theory that this is the same couple as shown on the census in 1851, and that Phoebe is Patience's mother.

If anyone could find this family in 1841 I would be eternally grateful  :D :D :D

Thank you in advance
