David Eugene Gustavus Jones, Kidderminster

Hi there,
Can some kind soul possibly help me with any info on this man ?  :'(
David Eugene Gustavus Jones was born in Alveley, Shropshire around  1863 son of David and Mary Ann Jones.
The 1881 census records him as Drapers apprentice in Kidderminster High Street.
But I can find no details of after that ! With such an unusual name an thought it might be easy – but this one’s getting the better of me
Any help or advice much appreciated  :) :)

Hi there,

I think he switched his middle names around!

In 1891 a 28 yr old unmarried David G E Jones born Alveley was a draper's assistant visiting a household in Aston, Birmingham: RG12/2405 folio 76 p22.

In 1901 he's David G E Jones again, 38, birthplace "Arley", still a draper's assistant, married with a family in Lower Mitton, Worcs.  Wife is Julia M. Jones, 38, b Worcester; children are Winifred M. (7) and Constance L. (5) both born Kidderminster, and the family has one servant: RG13/2769 folio 42 p8

FreeBMD shows that David Gustavus E Jones married Aston, Warwickshire Sep 1891.  On the same page is Julia Mary Bach.

Yes, I hadn't spotted until now that the family he was visiting in 1891 was the Bach family, whose daughter he later married!  :)
