MaryK. This is all the information I have. John Edward Adams emigrated in 1920's and last accounted for in 1930 on census with his wife Victoria and children Matha,Edna,Victoria and son Jacky (John E. Jnr). I was told that upon arrival in USA John had done well but lost all in the Wall St. Crash. Listed on census as a radio salesman. The family were supposed to have owned a hairdressing?beauty?salon in Chicago. JOhn had also been a jeweller when living in Belfast. As mentioned all addresses etc were lost by family here in Ireland during house fire. Only address I have is from the census details.Chicago City, Cook County ,76 Precinct, House No. 5417, couldn't read original details very clearly. It was a rented house, and John was 38 yrs old,Victoria 36 yrs old,John Jnr. 16 yrs old,Martha 15 yrs old,Edna 11 yrs old, and Victoria aged 8 yrs old. All born Belfast. Year immigrated/naturalized 1921/1924. My father- in -law is the son of John Snr. brother, and we would love to find out about JOhn's family in Chicago as they are his only direct Adams relatives.
