Robert Jones 1850
« on: Sunday 16 April 06 14:50 BST (UK) »
HI
I have been looking for Robert Jones born 1850.
On the 1851 census I thought he would be with his parents, but it reads.
Robert Jones age 1 PAUPER born in Llangwestenin? Living with David Evans wife Mary and daughter Catherine at TY Newydd.
Does anyone know where I can find the baptism for Robert born in Llangwestenin in 1850.
Would appreciate any help or tips on this

This baptism is on Freereg. It states that Robert Jones was baptised on 2 June 1850 in St Cystenin, Llangwstenin. He was the son of David and Catherine Jones. Mother's maiden name was Roberts. Abode: Bryngoch and Gwyndy. Father's occupation: Husbandman. Notes state: "Illegitimate child".

He is the only person by the name of Robert Jones to be baptised there in 1850.
