Jordan & Pover family of Falmouth

I have ancestors named Jordan who lived in Falmouth.  My great-grandmother was Elizabeth Jane Jordan who married Henry Burton in 1877 - they had several children,  Susan, Mary Jane, Violet Lillian (who married Charles Pover who was a barber in Falmouth), Florence, Hettie (my grandmother) and Henry.  Any relatives still around!!!!!

Hi My Grandfather was Edward John Pover and his brother was Charles Henry Pover Who was a barber but later from what my father can remember was a postman working out of Flushing, is this the same person. There are a lot of Pover's coming out of falmouth

it should give father's names & occupations.

My gt gran was also an Elizabeth Jane Jordan, she was born Truro c 1868, as were her parents, but her grandfather was born in Falmouth.
He was Robert William Jordan born Falmouth c 1815, one of his daughters was an Elizabeth Jordan born c 1844. Elizabeth Jane is/was a family name.

Thank you Alan for the info.  Our great aunt Violet Lillian Jordan Burton married a Charles Henry Pover, we believe, can anyone in your family confirm this as we are a little woolly on this point, however we do believe he was a Barber.  Many thanks.
