G'day from Oz,

After 12 years of searching for my ggrandfather John Williams,,I'm hoping that this site may turn up some info on his family!

John was born C1824 in Holywell. he migrated to Australia aboard the Marco Polo in 1855. He came out here together with an Evan Williams to work for the Thomas family of Northdown Tasmania. John arrived in Tasmania but Evan didn't ,he may have been lured to the goldrush in Victoria, Oz.

Wondering if John and Evan were brothers?   Stories handed down through our family suggest that he came from a mining background,,with stories of tunnelling.

Were John Wiliams & Ann Evans who were married in Mold in 1807 his parents?  

Hoping someone may be able to enlighten me.
