came to nz after 1875 when married t0 mary grace TRIGGEY He b c1857 Nottingham Nottinghamshire and occupation classed as Mariner on first childs birth cert George Andrew Leslie 2 feb 1881 Moray Place Dunedin.George senior took george junior when he was 12 where? His wife Mary remarried George COOKE.Mary b c 1858 Liverpool.thanks lnr

did you follow the possible NZ Archives lead jericho gave you for a George William Kaye DUNCAN, Dunedin?
Its a legal record (as opposed to (Probate etc)

You will also find two records for the son at the same website, a WW1 record and a Probate record 1964 in Waimate, Timaru.

Also:
Waimate Old CemeteryGeorge DUNCAN age 68 died 6 Dec 1927, Presbyterian, Plot 599 - his age is right ball park for George Snr.
And a number of other DUNCAN's.
