Joseph Wallis found in:

Irish & British Immigrants to America, 1873 - 1879 Passenger and Immigration Lists Volume 3
Age:  30
Gender:  Male
Occupation:  Laborer
Country of Origin:  England
Last Residence:  Unknown
Date of Arrival:  Mar. 18, 1879
Final Destination:  United States
Port of Embarkation:  Liverpool and Queenstown
Ship's Name:  Erin
Ship's Manifest Number:  09027504

He is listed as a "miner" and is found on subsequent US census in Pennsylvania.  One gives his arrival date as 1878, another 1871.  He traveled alone.

Any interest?

Does anyone have access to ships passenger lists for potato famine years, 1845 to 1850?  Looking for John Jenkins born 1797 to 1817 and his family.  He would have been traveling with wife Mary/Maria (B) 1804 to 1816, and sons John, Charles,Ralph and maybe dau. Eliza. (This is Eliza not Elizabeth).  They left Ire. during that time .  Don't know if they left from Ire. or Eng. port or if went to Canada or U.S. port but ended up in mid 1850 in N.Y.  Maybe traveling w/them were Dwyers and a Catherine Hanson.  Help!                       Leagen
