Hello Malshie,

I found Larkins in Co. Wexford mentioned in Griffiths Valuation of the county wihich took place in 1853. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php Hugh is not mentioned but if Simon was named after his
grandfather then it might be worthwhile taking a look at the Simons mentioned in the Valuation.

All the Best, Chris

Thank you for your help, I did have a look and found two Simon`s but as you mentioned no sign of a Hugh, could he of died just after 1845 and between 1848?
oh! this is so difficult. I shall keep this piece of information and keep on searching for my Hugh and Simon Larkin.

Thanks again
Kindest Regards

Hiya Malshie,

Griffith's Valuation of Ireland only shows the head of household.  There was less money around about that time. It is more than likely Hugh and his wife lived under the roof of either his parents or her parents. That is why I felt those two Simons may be worth a look.

Best Wishes, Chris
