George & Anne CHRYSTAL of Gort, Galway. Their tombstone in Gort cemetery indicates George was a native of Ayrshire died May 1881 and Anne (maiden name is unknown but presumed to be LIVINGSTONE) died 1872. George was an estate manager at Lough Cutra and children were born Ahascragh – from IGI Index. William and Louisa Margaret emigrated to NZ.   Does anybody have knowledge of any others in this family?  They may have moved to Dublin or even Australia.

Researching my Scottish McColm ancestors, I find that Margaret McColm had an illegitimate son, George Chrystal, born c1831, in Ayr. George's Death Certificate, 1907, gives his father's name as Geirge Chrystal, Land Steward. I wonder if this is the same george Chrystal ?

According to Tombstone inscription George dies Feb 1881 age 72 so would have been born abt 1810.   Inscription also says he was a Native of Ayrshire.   Thanks for you response.   I have been away and just found it.
