Hi Duckweed

The surname Bullivant stuck out a mile - especially in the Middlesbrough (oops hope I've spelled it correctly) area.  My sister married a Bullivant from there.  Don't know if it's of any use to you but at least it's a reply.

I do have one branch that went to live in Cottingham  though he may have lived in Hull city too.  His name was Arthur Bullivant  and he was born in 1890.  I know he was in Cottingham in 1926 but I don't know a lot about his family yet .  There are other Bullivants in Hull who came direct from Lincolnshire and one branch from Nottinghamshire Askham.  I don't know if the ones down your street are related to us.  Do you remember any Yorkshire connections or any of their names?

Thanks I'm always interested in Bullivants especially pre 1837.  If they don't always link easily with my family I still collect them and pass them onto other Bullivant searchers.  I hope eventually to build up a database for all Bullivant searchers.
