1914 Completed

I have been told that all men in NZ in 1914 had to enlist whether they served overseas or not.
Is there an on line site to look at ? I tried simple search but they only have those that were required to go away. Nothing for the reserves.

I found my g grandfather and his brother listed as reserves on a NZ WW1 service personnel and reserves index at the Christchurch library when I was down there earlier in the year - think it was on cd so your local library may have it.

Thank you for your reply, looks like I should move to the South Island. Don't worry about rainy Sunday's the sun came out after all. Our public library is very strong union, can't see them ever opening on Sunday.

I use a site at the Auckland Museum (online) in regards to service personnel including the 1914-18 war.

Look for "Cenotaph Database" on the right hand side of the page.   
It also has photos of a great deal of the servicemen.

There is also the commonwealth War Graves site
